Neurocognition of (foreign) languages
Guy Deutscher describes language as being mankind's greatest invention, anminals such as whales, apes or even bees communicate as well though. However, their communication is not as sophisticated as humans' way to interact.
I think, psycholinguistic theories and neuropsychological process are very interesting. Therefore, I take part in a skype reading circle devoted to these issues. Claudia Keßler and Daniela Zahn are my partners in this circle.
My PhD project also deals with neuroscientific aspects of foreign language representation and processing.
